The mission of IBRC is to bridge the gap between the police and the community in order to foster trust, increase communication, and promote mutual understanding between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. The ultimate goal is to improve public safety, reduce crime, and create a more peaceful and inclusive society.
In order to achieve our mission, the organization is engaged in a variety of activities, which include:
Community outreach
Community outreach through the signature project, coffee with a cop with a cop, which allows the public to interact with police officers in a non-threatening setting.
Training programs
We have created community policing training programs that teach community members the skills and
knowledge they need to work
effectively with police in combating
crime, as well as how to collaborate with the police to address local issues.
